Every night when you go to sleep, you end up in your go-to sleep position. But, did you know that your sleep position directly relates to your personality?

The Yearner:

The yearner is a type of side - sleeper. If you're a yearner, you sleep on your side and stretch your arms out in front of you. If this is your go-to position, you are at times doubtful. You may take a while to make a decision, but once you decide, you stick to it.

The Starfish:

The starfish is a back - sleeper position. You stretch out and take advantage of the whole bed. You’re lighthearted and ultimately a great person. If you have friends that need you, you've got their back. You're not an attention seeker, but if you end up in the spotlight, you're okay with it.

The Log:

The log is a side - sleeper position. You lay on your side with your arms extended straight on each side. So, what does this say about your personality? You can be a little gullible. You’re a people-person and have a reputation as a social butterfly. You’re trusting of other people and very fun to be around.

The Soldier:

Soldiers are back sleepers. You sleep on your back with your arms to your side. You’re kind of quiet and reserved and known for holding yourself and others to a higher standard than most.

The Freefaller:

The Freefaller is a stomach sleep position that’s a little more difficult to imagine. You’re lying on your stomach with your arms wrapped around your pillow. Most people don't like sleeping on their stomach, but those who claim this as their go-to sleep position love it. When you're a free faller, unfortunately, you aren't the best at taking criticism and you try your best to avoid uncomfortable situations. You are, however, confident, courageous, and very friendly.

The Fetal Position:

47% of Americans sleep in the Fetal side sleeper position. If you sleep in the fetal position, you curl up in a safe little ball with your knees at your chest. You’re tough on the outside but sweet on the inside. When you meet new people, you’re likely shy. But when you get to know them, you open up and become super social.

Who knew your sleep position and your personality go hand in hand? Tonight, when you lay in bed, make sure to pay attention to that go-to sleep position to see what you can learn about yourself from the way you sleep.
